本機は、立軸型の研削盤で、砥石車の端面を用いる平面研削盤である。テーブルの長さから、比較的長物の工作物の平面研削にも適する。後の設置と思われるが、テーブル囲いを取り付けて研削液の飛沫拡散を防止している。

This is a vertical grinding machine, which grinds surfaces using the end face of a grindstone. Due to the length of the table, it is also suitable for the grinding the surface of relatively long workpieces.
